Programming focus areas are listed below.

Arizona Funding Priorities

The Commission seeks to fund applicants that propose to operate AmeriCorps programs that address areas identified as high priority for the state and include:

 Eighth Grade Math

  • High School Completion
  • Opioid Epidemic
  • Third Grade Reading Proficiency
  • Violence Against Women
  • Wildfire Reduction

Arizona Demonstration Projects

The Commission seeks to fund applicants that propose to operate demonstration AmeriCorps programs that address areas identified as the highest priority for the state and include:

 Arizona Angel Initiative

  • Adverse Childhood Experience
  • Early Release Re Entry
  • Family Success Centers
  • Foster/Kinship Youth Support
  • Human Trafficking:
  • Special Education Transition

 SPECIAL NOTE:  For applications submitted addressing the Arizona Commission Demonstration Projects that are successfully funded, the applicant will also qualify to apply for a funding opportunity through AmeriCorps VISTA to provide additional capacity building support for the demonstration project.  For more information about AmeriCorps VISTA, please visit the AmeriCorps VISTA website.
