Happy New Year, GPA!
Our 2018 board is up and running! If you recall, after the new board was sworn in during December’s Annual Meeting, there were a couple of vacancies – Vice President (because I stepped up to President) and Marketing Chair. I am proud to announce that we now have a full board:

Last week we held a transition meeting so our outgoing board members could orient our incoming board members to their new roles. We then called our first board meeting to order. One thing we talked about was instituting monthly posts on our website (and in your inbox) from a board member. We can update you on what we’re discussing in our board meetings, and it may help you get to know us better.
I’d also like to invite anyone interested in becoming more involved in the Chapter to get in touch with us. Maybe you’d like to join a committee or want to help out at a workshop. Maybe you’re considering running for the board in the future and want to learn more about it. Maybe you’d like to participate more, but don’t know how. If any of the above apply to you, or if you have any questions in general, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
In the meantime, I hope you have February 15 marked on your calendar for our first workshop of 2018 which will be about preparing for the GPC exam. Keep your eyes on your email for more details. I’ll see you there!
